Due to the large volume of content HBP has, they needed a new product information management system to support their growing product line and unique metadata needs. After a search within the industry of possible solutions to these requirements, they chose an Alfresco based Product Information Management system (PIM). This presentation will walk you through the implementation of the PIM system from beginning to end. You’ll learn why Alfresco was best suited to their data model and how it interacts with other programs at HBP. You will also learn how the project was structured, the players that were involved in the launch, as well as lessons learned throughout the way.
