Many global organisations want a single content repository, which can mean handling content in multiple languages. This presents many challenges around indexing full text content, which are compounded when there is a requirement to support multi-lingual metadata for non-English speakers.
A recent project had to support multiple languages (including Chinese, Japanese & Korean) as well as 5 dialects of Spanish! This session covers some useful lessons from that project.
During this talk you will learn:
- How the Alfresco content model can support multi-lingual categories & tags - How multi-lingual metadata can be exposed through Share
- The problems encountered by the project
- The quality issues of automated translation lookups
- Alternative approaches to consider
This session will include a demo as well as code examples.
