Consuming OAuth Services in Alfresco Share
With the increasing availability and reliability of cloud based services for Enterprise functions previously implemented in house, it is increasingly necessary for developers to integrate with external APIs beyond the firewall. OAuth 1.0a and 2.0 are commonly used to secure access to these public services and since Alfresco 4.1 support for persisting OAuth tokens has been built into the Alfresco repository.
This talk explains firstly how this support works and secondly how the Share OAuth project on currently hosted on Share Extras can allow developers to connect directly with OAuth services from within Share addons with no need to implement your own service layer in the repository or web tiers. Simply declare your own widgets, define your application logic and deploy it to Share! The talk will feature live demonstrations using examples and SDK code from the Share Extras project.
