Lessons Learned from Share Extras
The Share Extras project has grown from a single Share dashlet back in 2008 to a large but distributed project providing over 41 add-ons to the Alfresco community. The project has recently completed a move from Google Code to GitHub, primarily in order to lower the barriers associated with contributing to the project. With the increasing pace of development of tools for quickly spinning up, contributing to and forking open source projects, it is important for developers to stay up to speed with the latest tools and tricks. This talk describes the tools we are now using to increase contributions, what was involved in the migration itself and some of the hurdles we encountered along the way.
